CARDIOPATCH’s project has the mission of connecting stakeholders of the health and the 3D printing industries. In order to achieve this goal, the partnership of this initiative, co-funded by the Interreg Sudoe Programme through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), has developed the Open Lab of Synergies, an online service designed to increase interactions between stakeholders of these two key sectors.
This service is available on the initiative’s virtual platform and provides a virtual co-working space to boost ‘matches’ between these stakeholders that can lead to new innovative research projects and joint actions.
“Besides the development of biotechnological solutions to improve the quality of life of patients affected by myocardial infarction, CARDIOPATH project is also an excellence network to promote research, development and innovation actions applied to biomedicine and bioprinting. With the Open Lab, any member of the network can publish free cooperation offers and cooperation requests”, explains doctor Felipe Prosper, the coordinator of CARDIOPATCH project.
The Open Lab of Synergies is an online service available in English that provides cooperation requests and offers for regenerative medicine agents and 3D printing actors. It has an alert system that connects the actor interested in a specific cooperation request or offer with the actor who has published the information.
The service is open to everyone and it is completely free. To be a user of the service the only requirement is to be registered on the CARDIOPATCH website and become a member of the platform.
The process of completing the registration and publishing an offer or cooperation request can be followed in the official video of the Open Lab of Synergies.
To promote this service the CARDIOPATCH partnership has launched a campaign to increase the interaction through the Open Lab.
The communication actions included in this campaign have the objective of making the Open Lab of Synergies known by other entities beyond the ones that are part of CARDIOPATCH’s consortium.
This plan will be essential to boost one of the main services of the CARDIOPATCH platform and to provide more opportunities to develop new innovations and research projects in the biomedical sector.
Led by Clínica Universidad de Navarra (CUN), CARDIOPATCH project includes partners from Spain, France and Portugal: CIMA Universidad de Navarra, via the Foundation for Applied Medical Research, Leartiker Technology Center, Institut de Recerca de l’Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, communication agency GUK, Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Toulouse, the University of Montpellier (UM) - Institut des Biomolécules Max Mousseron (IBMM), GenIbet Biopharmaceuticals and the Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica.
